Hi Guys
Most of you have probably seen a picture of the F-117 stealth fighter flying in formation with the red arrows at RIAT one year. Does anyone know were I can get a good quality picture of this that I make into a splash screen for FS2004, and please post a link of where I can get it.
Thx Matt

I still don't understand why people call it a Stealth Fighter.
It doesn't carry anything close to being used in A2A.
Unless there just trying to say it fights in wars, and has stealth technology.

Thanks Guys!
Commoner: Great thanx alot i will post my finished screen probably some time tomorrow or are thay copyrighted, what the heck does crown copyright mean?
Yukon Cornelius: Infact its not evan properly stealthy, all its missions have to be carefully planned so its rear was never faceing enemy radar as it shows up on radar like that
Thx again guys. Matt

The weapons rails in the F-117 are AIM-9 (Sidewinder) compatible, possibly even suitable for AIM-120 (AMRAAM) operating in a self-guided or Home On Jam mode.
The speculation of the day was that it was designed to remove ALL air defence warning systems and C3I infrastructure.

I suspect it was to allow clarity in distinction between the B-2 and the F-117A. Also, in the covert days of the Cold War, it may initially cause confusion as to the types role...
As with anything it is not entirely invisible to radar - hence missions are planned to avoid known air defence systems, and was painted a nice dark colour....

Well if they do that, then whats the point of spending billions of dollars to develop it?
