The wifey and I were driving down the street the other day, and she pops up with (as she OFTEN does) "Do you know what today is?"  As any man knows, this of course that you have forgotten a significant day in your marriage.  

In this case, it turned out to be the anniversary of the first time we did the big nasty...  ;)

So once again, I am amazed how she can remember exactly what day of the year we first kissed, first met, first dated, the first time I farted in her presence, etc...

It's the X chromosome, I summized...

Then I thought about it, and I realized, I may be on to something!  Men have an X and Y chromosome, and women have two X Chromosomes, right?  Now, look at the X then look at the Y.  There are four segments to the X.  There are three segments to the Y.  Women have an extra segmant than men do.  They have extra storage space built in, so they have room for all that crap very important information.

Now you have an excuse next time you forget something and your wife complains...  ;D

Interesting theory, but chromosomes don't store data like that; as far as I know you need at least one whole brain cell, although nobody's sure how many cells are needed to store, say, a date.
 I think women are just more inclined towards remembering stuff like that, by nature and nurture... and yes, part of the reason is to have leverage!
 Besides, she may remember the date, but I'll bet you remember the important stuff!
