Stage set for '.xxx' Internet addresses

I'll be curious to see if this really happens...I mentioned it to a friend of mine "in the know" and he said that it's been suggested for years, but never implemented.  I for one say go for it.  It'll be easier to filter!  lol

...mmm...on the face of it , looks a good thing........IMO the porn spammers won't be content with that, as the report says, they'll still want to use dot.com for their crap....commoner

Ah... the suffix... could make things much easier... no more serious stuff when surfing for porn! lol!

Al jokes aside, this could be a good thing. Perhaps they should even expand it. Make new once for commercial sites, personal site, governemental sites, ... Cause I can't find any logic behind al the .com, .org, .be, ...

But ehrm... would this mean that, considering my avatar, I should change my name to omag.xxx ?

Well theoretically, there IS a logical system to it.   .org, for example, is SUPPOSED to be for legitimate organizations, .de is for German sites, .ca is Canada, .jp is Japan, etc...

The problem is it seems we've gotten away from that, which is where the confusion is coming in.

If it's not a .com, it gets the filter from my browser and email client.  Plain and simple.  lol

I would think that the porn community (do they have a community?) would be all for this, this would make it even easier to find their... product. As if it wasnt easy enough.

It would make it easier to find their product, which is the point.  You wouldn't find it accidentally...you would only find it if you were looking for it.

The people on porn sites choose to be there out of their own free will, so I wouldn't say that they are being exploited. honestly, I havn't looked at one of those sites in years.

Nothing bad about a healthy dosis of porn.
