Just a nice day overall

While helping my son load up a truck with his posessions from the storage facility, I was treated to the sight of several F/A-18 Hornets on final to landing at Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, SC.  Since the storage facility is just outside the base, the viewing was good .... no photos, though (hard to take photos when you're manhandling a sofa).

It was a nice feelling helping out a young Marine lieutenant - er excuse me, CAPTAIN as of 1JUNE -

Hoorah. Got just over a year to go until I get my promotion to the Air Force equivalent of Captain. Wish it was sooner - I need the pay rise!

Been a nice day here too, one of the hottest May days on record down here on the South coast of Blighty...

Eh... the weather finally broke today after a week of chilly grayness, very nice... but I just got home from a 15-hour workday. What a waste of a beautiful day for girl watching... or flying!!
