The one that got away

Postby Craig. » Fri May 27, 2005 5:58 am

We've all heard the stories. We've all caught the big one that some how spit the hook. Well this one didn't.
Kind of sad the outcome though.

Sigh... when will people learn! They catch a very big fish and instead of releasing it for it to grow even more, they kill it...  :( ... It's sad to see a living creature beeing treated like some trophy...

They had good intentions. They were going to put it in a giant aquarium for everyone to see. I was considering going to see it myself because where they were going to put it isn't far from me.

"But we're talking about a fish that was very old, very heavy," he said. "The stress of being transported like that could have been too much."

It also could be the fact that in the picture the guy is standing there holding the fish, when it could be in water.. ::)

Yeah. But they probably didn't have a tank in the vehicle to put the fish in. The main cause of death could likely have been that it suffocated under it's own weight, and couldn't breathe properly, being out of water. Shame  :(.
