24 Season Finale (here there be spoilers)

Postby Wing Nut » Mon May 23, 2005 9:20 pm

Out of considerations for our overseas cousins who don't get to see this season for a bit, you are not safe from spoilers from here on out...  ;D

Well, it's over with.  I must say, what started as a pretty lackluster season has turned (yet again) into the best season yet.  Once all the major players were back in place and the fill ins (like Driscoll) were gone, it really took off.  I must say I thought the ending for the finale last season was a bit more poignant with Jack breaking down and crying, but this ending was also very nice.

I thought the deux ex machina with Jack faking his death was handled well, and I loved the little twist with Tony and Michelle reversing roles from last season.   I have always been a big fan of the Tony/Michelle thing, so it was really satisfying to see them hook up again.

So get ready for season five!  ;D

I agree Kevin it was another fine season of the best show to ever air on TV!!
Although there were many times that you could predict what was going to happen it still kept me hooked.
I have thought that jack needs some tips, such as carrying a generic Presidential Pardon with him, it always seems everytime he offers one for information they want to see it before talking, lol.
I was also happy to see the ending, that means there will be another "day".
All in all I dont know if I would say it was the best season, always hard to beat the first season of anything, but it was again a season that kept me hooked from the first hour to the last! And I can't wait until next January!
But until then Jack can grab a bite to eat and take a long overdue bath, lol!

Personally, if someone ordered me to back Jack up on a mission, I would quit on the spot.  I've lost count of the number of people who have gotten killed working with him, but I'll bet it's in the dozens.  In fact, Curtis, Tony, and Chase may be the only ones who have survived it.  Whenever you see someone with Jack, they may as well be wearing a red shirt in Star Trek...  ;D

Chase

Didn't he egt killed off earlier in the season? Also, Agent Castle got killed last night. Hasn't he been in since season one or two? Interesting..

The ending was corny I think.. Him putting on a pair of sunglasses and walking off into the sunset.. ::) It should be interesting to see how they put him into the next season, if at all.

Ah, this is such a great show. ;D

Diehard fan here.

The best part of 24 has always been that it constantly finds new ways to shock you with the lengths Jack, CTU or the Presidential administration will go to to get the job done.  I still remember thinking "WTF?!  He's going to rob the convenience store?! WTF?!" ;D

I can not wait to see how he's implemented in the next season.  I'm in the process of buying seasons one and two on DVD right now.

I was just thinking about the pardon thing myself-my thoughts exactly.  He should aslo carry an extra copy for himself!

And the thing about his partners dying is soooo true.  Unless you're contract says you're on for more than one episode, you might as well just off yourself quickly and save the terrorists the trouble!

All in all great season, I never really thought it got lackluster 8)

She was funny in that Kelsey Grammer show that was on for a while. I hope they get rid of that fat bastard, you cant tell me he didnt get his ass kicked in school. LOL!!!

But for know Jack walks off into the sunset, another day over and yet still no paycheck.
Next season he will be in Mexico taking on terrorist Banditos.

He's already done that... except they were drug-running banditos.  Basically one-in-the-same.
