To be fair most concordes are outside. New York on a barge, filton outside a hangar, seattle and france and heathrow all outside right now i believe. And the one in germany is on a pole.

Fair point - but than again they don't suffer as much from the weather, such as the hurricane that removed the roof in the first place...

...and it doesn't seem to be attracting 1000's of visitors either. Methinks it's a little out of place. As the chap says in the article, people have to have it explained to them as to why it is actually there.

I wont argue the question of why its there. As for elements. A new york winter? a british summer, rain snow ice. Barbados apart from a couple of breezes is generally good weather.

perhaps not but when you consider how few they get compaired to the year round weather we have here and the new york weather it is nothing much in terms of long term damage as long as its tied down

The problem is that the damage done by a house flung on the aircraft by a Hurricane is going to be far far worse than the simple weathering of the airframe from drizzle.

I suppose it depends from which end you start for a legend could also be a hip joint. A sad story of a legend could therefore be either a sprained ankle or a broken hip, or even both as the result of a nasty fall...
