Does St.John in the US Virgin Islands have an airport?
I think the only way to get there is by ferry.
That would be strange.
Can anybody find out if there is an airstrip or airport on the Island of St. John?

(In real life, not the Sim)

Thanks,

Dave

Google to the rescue. http://www.viport.com/aviation.html
Note that there is no airport on St. John or Water Island, U.S. Virgin Islands.  Access to these islands is provided via inter-island ferry service from St. Thomas.

Getting to St. John, US Virgin Islands
St. John, the smallest and most pristine of all of the U.S. Virgin Islands, is located 4 miles from St. Thomas. Your flight destination will be St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. The only way to get from St. Thomas to St. John is by boat. There are regularly scheduled ferrys that run from the downtown Charlotte Amalie( closest to the airport) or Red Hook, located on the east end of St. Thomas. American, Delta, USAir all have daily direct flights to St. Thomas from the US mainland. In addition, Puerto Rico only 80 miles away provides hourly service to St. Thomas.

Unless you are staying at Caneel Bay Resort or the Westin Resort St. John, who both have their own transportation to the respective resorts, you will need to use the public ferry service. It is reliable and reasonably priced.
