If you had used it's actual designation CL-44, I wouldn't have had to google for the plane to get an impression of it.
Very sexy aicraft, defiantely should have deserved more success on the market.

Bristol was not particularly impressed with the Yukon...seeing as it was based on the Brittania and was better in most ways.

Hi Ken
You should see the Royal Canadian Air Cadet camp now at Canadian Forces Base Trenton, you would probably not recognize it.
Some of the cadets are now billeted at Loyalist College, Sir James Whitney School and of course on the base.
Glider training is carried out on three fields now I believe, CFB Mountain View, Picton and Bellevile.
I do believe the camp is starting to get into full swing for the summer about now.

Yeah Doug,....all we had in my day was a tent city....not much in the way of conviences, but we did have shower tents and flush toilets, so it wasn't all that bad to deal with......and of course, we ate in the reg mess hall, so that was fine by me !...my final summer was in 68 and finished as Sqn WO ....only the WO1 was higher than me in rank....darn it anyway.....

Sorry Ken...NO TENTS now

They all sleep in Modular units, there is a Computer Building, the combined mess is called the "Yukon Galley" named after the Yukon Aircraft and that is where they eat. They have their own canteen so they do not have to use the Canex and their Transportation Budget must be aweseome.
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
