Robin Hood again

Postby commoner » Tue May 17, 2005 1:39 pm

...mmm...Thomsonfly are at it again.........after the trouble I had with the flight the other week, one of their aircraft had more of a scary problem than I did...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/sout ... 554679.stm

...Don't know where they got their planes from but I did notice that all the notices like EXIT etc were in GERMAN first and then in English.........might be a pointer to where they aquired them, I can't say..............commoner ;)

Here's the details of Thomsonfly's current fleet. http://www.planemad.net/Airline/GB/Thomsonfly_(TOM)/Fleet.htm?show=current
I don't know the difference between lsd & slsd (leased/subleased ?) in the description but I imagine they're leased from another company.

Why are British airlines so obsessed with the name "Thomas"?

Not sure what you mean there Beefy old chap. ??? Maybe you're thinking of Thomas Cook, probably the oldest established tour company in the world. Thomson is the name of another well-known UK holiday company. The airline presumably takes its name from that.
