Holy Smoke!

....Hi all........Today's Daily Express (UK) carries this picture .......it was apparently taken over Worthing and is completely "as taken"....untouched I suppose that means.

It is pretty obvious, to me at least, that it is some strange contrail, which has been moved around some by the wind. I have seen a few similar formations but never one quite so striking............I suppose it comes in the same category as the "Jesus on Piece of Toast" or the images in tomatoes etc..........unfortunately it dispersed soon after and therefore can't be sold on Ebay for thousands of pounds like some of the other stuff................any comments?............commoner ;)

Ah, so it made the nationals. Must be a slow news day. ::)

I saw this photo in the local paper yesterday. Could be wrong but I thought it was taken in Brighton by a pastor who was looking for a suitable picture for a religious poster or magazine. He said he went outside with his camera, looked up & saw what you see in the photo. He called it divine inspiration. He might well call it that but I see the remains of 2 vapour trails which is a pretty common sight around here almost every day.

Pretty weird, if it had been a Star of David then you'd have know the Red Arrows had been in the area ;) ;D

LOL ;D

It's clouded over now but I wish I'd taken a shot of the sky this morning. It was covered with a mesh of intersecting vapour trails dispersed by the strong winds which looked quite impressive.

It's a good photo & will obviously serve its purpose. If I had more imagination I could make a fortune. :'( ;)

That's not a slow news day.  The following gem (which is currently up at Yahoo) is the EPITOMY of a slow news day:

"GOP Lawmaker returns Pelosi's missing shoe"

Classic stuff.

...lol....the Express definately has it over Worthing , West Sussex...by one Carl Tidy..........though he did work for some religious outfit I believe............maybe it was so big they could see it from both places ...or it drifted from one to the other....commoner ;D

....I also noticed there was a lot of contrail stuff around this morning......seems to "linger longer" some days more than others.........atmospheric conditions probably eh?

Please do not take this the wrong way :)

But:

The old girl and I sit outside on the swing or in a chair all the time weather permitting.  In the winter or when the weather is not good we sit in front of a large picture window looking outside.

Sometimes a hour will go by and not a word is spoken between us, we stare at the sky, the river, the woods/land and we enjoy it.

Now that I think about it we have been married longer than most of you have been on this good earth.  I still hold her hand when we are sitting there (unless my hand is holding a refreshment and the other hand is fetching the crackers and cheese or some other snack.
Relaxing and cogitating can be so much work sometimes and a fella needs both hands free. ;D

The next time you have five minutes to yourself, take the time to just clear your mind and watch your surroundings, do it from your car, on a step, lean against a pole or your office chair.  I bet it won't be the last time you do it. ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

I find myself staring out of the window many times a day, often during periods when my PC is busy loading or downloading something.
But I usually just curse the weather instead of admiring nature. ;D

Here we go again... has everybody already lost interest in the water-stain Madonna sighted recently under a Chicago overpass?
BTW, it's obviously two contrails, both dissipating.

That is as stupid as that stained bedsheet story that was floating around about a month ago.
