On Howard Stern's radio show, governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said he was going to propose legislation to destroy the moon, since 90% of crime is committed under a full moon and also because "If we get rid of the moon, women, whose menstrual cycles are governed by the moon, will not get PMS. They will stop bitching and whining."

Or so some foreign news outlets would have you believe...

It seems Mr. Stern was talking to an Arnold impersonator who made the comments, but the foreign media didn't realize it was a bit, and ran it as an actual news item.  (Good luck finding those news items today, btw.)

Upon reading the "news", MSNBC host Joe Scarborough beraded the governor saying "I don't know how you do it in Austria..."

people are so stupid, why would anyoone take anything off of stern's show seriously? honestly, it's suposed to be a comedy show...

An easy mistake to make since it stopped being funny (or entertaining for that matter) ten years ago...

However I once heard some American scientist were  launching the idea to move the moon's orbit, by blasting a large piece of it. Just to modify its effect on the earth into a warmer and more continous climate. Had something to do with the earths angle on the sun...

Wow!! is he really going to destroy the moon?  I hope we will get enough of a warning so we can put on our helmets when the debris rains down.
