Found out last night my mother and I are flying down to Fort Myers, Florida for my great grandmothers 90th birthday.  Only going for a couple days and will be booking the tickets this weekend.  I have checked Cheaptickets.com and Travelocity.com to find that insted of our usual flights out of Fort Wayne we will be going out of Indianapolis.  But im wandering if there is any better companies to go through.  We plan to leave on June 15 and return on the 17th.

Cheapest flight i have found from FWA was $383 :o

American Airlines, FWA-ORD-FMY and on the way back FMY-MIA-ORD-FWA :-/  Not to mention the return connections are short and a delay could cause a major problem.

Cheapest flight out of Indianapolis on the otherhand was only $228.  It means a longer drive but to save $150 a ticket it will be worth it.

Continental, IND-EWR-FMY and return via FMY-CLE-IND.  I like those flights better anyhow cause of going through Newark means more photo ops and my first chance to see a 777 lol ::)

But we are going on a tight budget and need the cheapest way posible.  So anyone know of better online bookings that are any cheaper then the 2 ive checked?  Not looking for a  hotel, just flights ;)

Weigh up the fuel/parking costs for Indianapolis over the hassle and possible inconvenience for the less direct routes.

IMO ......... I'd go with the cheapest option.
