Well. I made a go at resurrecting the SimV Dogfights this week. Contacted a few of the old crew over PM and the night came and chaos reigned. I got called away just as they should have been starting and people were having trouble with the Zone, CFS2 and everything.

So.

I'm going to try again.

Simviation dogfight. Next saturday at 9:30pm BST on the Zone. Midway game room. Everyones invited. Bring any aircraft you like as long as it first flew no later than 1945 and realism should be set on 50% to ensure that it's all fun.

As for the chaps I contacted for tonights fight. Sorry bout it not taking off. But it worked once before and it can damn well work again. So, here's to next saturday.

I remember the last time we had those. Quite good fun the few times they managed to work:).

We actually got it working fairly well at one point. Every saturday between 4 and 7 people would turn up and we'd have a good melee intill we got bored then we did formations and stuff. CFS3's release kinda killed it though.

However, no need to be pesimistic! All the people I contacted seemed keen so people are still up for it.

If you dont mind, i might have to re-install CFS2 and join in.

Tis all in the publicity I feel. If people know it's going to happen then they'll turn up. So if we get a reasonably good scrap going next saturday, and then if we plaster the Screenshot forums with pictures then more and more people will find out about it and it should, in theory, snowball in to what we had before.

I seem to recall that in theory they were free-for-alls. But to be fair, five against Andrew was actually a fair fight.

Gotta slow him down some how

Or force him to fight in something other than his Spitfire MkIX.

Good timing! Since i'm coming home Wendsday, I should be home this next weekend for the dogfight.

I'll have to pull my Spitfire mk IX out of the hangar, dust it off, and gas it up...!

heres hoping I'm around and can get a few isues with the sim sorted by next week. Only ever showed up for a few but they were great  8)
