Picture Copyrights...

So I'm putting together the powerpoint for a presentation on the changes of the aircraft fleet with the introduction of the regional Jets at cleveland hopkins.

As continental flies a variety of aircraft out of the airport I thought it would be appropriate to use a photo of a continental erj-145 as a part of the presentation. Only problem I found is that the only good one I found so far was on airliners.net

I know they have the copyright bar across the bottom but what I was wondering is would it be ok to run the copyright bar off the bottom of the powerpoint screen as long as I put ALL of the copyright info in the adknowledgement information at the end of the presentation? Just asking, I don't think it would be a problem to leave it be visible as the professor isn't too bad, but I was just wondering.....

Technically no, it would NOT be all right.

However, asking airliners.net for permission to use in a non-commercial, educational presentation should not pose problems.

You might want to scrutinize the fine print in their website since such educational use might already be allowed.

lol, just did that, the site told me to go ahead and e-mail the person who took the picture, so I just sent him one, so we shall see.. ;)

Thanks for the info, perhaps next time I'll read the fine print first.. ::)
