Well, in our continuing series of totally useless questions, what is the most annoying thing about someone using a Cell Phone?

The most annoying thing isn't even on your list...

Existence.

The very fact that cell phones (the great self-imposed technological leash) exist is the most annoying thing about them.

Annoying: Cell Phones!

I'm in agreeance with Jordan and SilverFox, they are the very essence of annoying.
I see them only having a use during the upmost of emergencies.

Well, I'll be, I looked through all the options and was only going to select one, but as I went through, I checked them all.  I only use mine for work.  My phone is one of the old ones that doesn't have a fancy screen or flippy part or anything, the screen is cracked, the antenna is bent, the face plate is full of sawdust and all the numbers on the buttons are worn off and I am proud of the fact that I have the oldest and least functional phone of anyone I know. ;D

Definitely the headphone thingy.  Drivers are a real close second place.

People look like they are talking to themselves but you have to look real close to see that they are actually speaking into a microphone and they have a little headset on.

I was in the grocery store the other day and the woman in front of me was paying her bill in food stamps WHILE TALKING ON A HEADSET.

I refuse to get a cell phone.  If I am not in my home/office and available to answer the phone then I am on the golf course or in a bar - in which case I don't want to talk to you.  Aren't email and answering machines enough?  And if you're a really important pinhead you get a cell phone and TURN IT OFF so you won't be disturbed by other less important pinheads.

You didn't have... all of the above... so i had to vote for the most dangerous ...... Drivers using them when driving. The others are just annoying.

Ooooh I hate it when I do that. Worse yet, when you completely mute it.

I've got two big peeves: drivers who can't seem to drive and talk at the same time (probably the same people who can't drive while talking to a passenger), and people who think they have to scream into their cell in order to be heard! I only got one because it's absolutely vital in my line of work (things change quickly, and we also use them as walkie-talkies sometimes)- I'm not inclined to do a lot of yakking on the phone. But having only my cell and no land line, I'm never bothered by telemarketers... ;D

My phone is muted and set to vibrate all the time. Either it's placed on a cupboard in my room or in a pocket of my trousers.
I don't get much calls, but that thing is a damn good replacement for a watch. ;D

Test results:
Move over, Miss Manners
Cell phone users as considerate as you are few and far between in this country of 171.2 million cell phone subscribers. The public appreciates not hearing the intimate details of your date the night before, and the fact that you don't answer your phone in the company of others does not go unnoticed. You use the environmental settings on your phone so as not to disrupt, you excuse yourself when you need to make or receive an important call, and you talk at a low, unobtrusive level. While not one to draw attention to yourself, be proud. Then politely call or text your family, friends, and coworkers and pass on your cell phone manners knowledge.

I think anyone driving whilst using their phone should be forced to remove their undies, then touch their toes whilst the police hammer the damn thing "home", that way they really are talking out of their ass ;D ;D ;D
