I know some people disagree with divorce in principle. Being divorced myself I can't see any objections. I noticed that one of the criteria for this "instant divorce" is that it's by mutual consent of both parties. They also have to be resident in Virginia for 6 months prior to the application. This is not much different to what I went through in 1984 except that we didn't do it on the Internet. It's also advertised as being cheaper. The breakdown of a marriage & the resulting divorce is a harrowing enough experience without the unnecessary expense of hiring lawyers & having to attend court. IMHO

....mmm.....I don't consider myself perfect by any means ( mind you, I'm so close to it, it'd take your breath away )...I'm not even religious in the accepted sense of the word but I always have believed that marriage is forever and would never contemplate divorce under any circumstances............I accept that marriages do break down for various reasons and it takes "Two to Tango" but for my part it's a NO NO! If my wife  ever left for some reason...then I would still not go down the divorce road.......commoner.

BTW...I had my 50th Anniversary this year.
