Common Courtesy...

Several times last night I came across postings where people have replied along the lines of "Who gives a ****"  Please remember that this is just as rude in the forums as saying it to a real person would be and is not considered acceptable.  The flavor of SimV's forums is based upon common courtesy and has made SimV one of the best FS forums on the web.  The infighting and flame wars that other forums experience are kept to a minumum here through the courtesies that we extend to one another.  Without them, we would be just another website.  Please observe them.

Well said, Kevin...another thing I've noticed is that the "quality" of the discussions has started to slide.  Remember everyone, this is a site with a lot of "youngins".  Age ignored, I personally don't want to come here and see thread after thread of tasteless crap...we should try to keep it semi-decent.  Just my two... ;)

/\/\/\/\ Agreed with everything above.  If you don't have anything nice and constructive to say, no need to say it.  Thanks to everyone offering constructive criticism, the courtesy and "niceness" (new word ::) :P) is what really appealed to me when I decided to join the forums here.  Everyone should just remember that everyone here has different backgrounds and opinions, so in my opinion, if someone posts something that may be offensive to someone, just add a little disclaimer or something, don't want everyone angry at everyone else. ;D

Hmm. I must have been taken residence under a rock because I don't see such bad comments that often.

Oh well. At least it's good to know that you people are doing something about these nasty habits.

And I haven't noticed any tasteless threads.

I think that "tasteless" is a matter of opinion, some might see our undwear discussion as tasteless. Not saying I do, its weird, but not tasteless.

Some of the topics lately do seem to have been a wee bit pants, just attempts to boost post numbers as far as I can see. And yup the language has got worse. I only have wobblers in the admin forum. Otherwise the only time I use it is for humourous purposes.

As usual I agree with Doug.  Who gives a flying **** whether the animals in prison get a headache?  They commited the crimes, let the b*stards suffer.

I feel that this post, by me, may have been influential in Kevin starting this thread.  I would like to make it clear that my comment was aimed at the prisoners who were moaning, not the other members of this forum.

I would be just as happy to be rude to these "gentlemen" to their face as on an annonymous forum.

I dont think it was Will. I have seen another post that also resembles the remarks and was aimed at a member.

It wasn't that Will.  It was seeing three different places where three different people had replied to a thread "Who gives a @%*#" and had nothing else to say.  What you said was in context.

BTW, one of those people was gracious enough to apologize and remove the reply.  Thanks.

Would this have been in the CFS forums again?
