Pope coverage

Is it just me or are they spending a long time on the death of John Paul? It seems like every news station has 24 hour coverage on the matter. Yes it is sad, I agree. He was a wonderful man. But c'mon, we don't need to be told every minute, "At this time 4,000 people are inside St. Peter's Basilica right now waiting to see the Pope" or "Everyone remembers his first visit to the United States in the late 70's"..

Again, I have the utmost respect for him, but really. He's dead. Get over it. :-/

Newspapers and TV channels exist to make money, and the best way to sell their dross is sympathy! People read/watch their tripe and then their ads so they don't miss anything...
I hate journalists >:(

I honestly haven't seen any of it. This is the biggest news story for a while & there's not much else going on so expect more of the same for a couple of weeks yet. Sorry if this appears cynical but nobody under the age of 30 has ever seen anything like this before. The "media" have probably been preparing for this moment for years & will milk it dry. They've had plenty of time to prepare for it.

Dont worry Doug, election in a month. Give it a week and we will be bombarded with all the crap for that:)

Don't remind me. ::) At least it's all over with fairly quickly, not like across the pond. ;)

There's an easy answer to all this. See that big button on your remote marked OFF? Try pressing it. :P :D

Hi Craig...!

If you really want to get away from your annoying Uncle and Cousin, and the bleedin' Labour Party, for a week or two during the equally annoying bleedin' elections, how about popping 30-odd miles up the A 49 to Fozzers Place for a bit of peace and quiet, no Tele', and a good meal thrown in at regular intervals... ;D...!
What more could you ask for at Election time/Pope Funeral time/Charles & Camilla Wedding time/etc... ;)...?

Paul.

...just don't think you can watch "Football" instead... >:(...!
LOL...!

Paul.

P.S. For the rest of you, there is only a limited amount of space available at Fozzer's place... :'(...!
