Has anyone here heared of the serial killer BTK?  He lives here in Wichita, and has been sending police on a chase to catch himm in the past year.

If you haven't heared of him, heres the story:  In the 1970's there were 8 killings in the same area here in Wichita.  They were all found tied up, tortured and strangled.  This is where "BTK" came from(bound-torture-kill).

They now think that they have him in custody, and all the local news stations are going crazy about the case.  We have been getting alot of national news attention, and now at city hall there are reporters from all over the world (the wrong way to make Wichita fab).  All the big whigs of the local government are arriving by the minute at city hall-mayor, state rep, FBI, city justice.  Heres a link:   http://www.kake.com/home/headlines/1307477.html

Will keep you informed as we get the info. Press conference sceduled soon

Can't they just hang him silently without all that media around?  ::)

No, they can't.  What would the news stations talk about?

They have confirmed that they have arrested a man named Dennis Rader for the killings.  LOOK ON CNN NOW!  This is a record number of times that Wichita has been mentioned on national TV

Its a sad day when the place you live in has the claim to fame of a psycho who gets his rocks off on killing innocent women, and then the media make it into entertainment :(

People like this should be skinned alive,  I agree it's sad that this has made Wichita more famous.  I had heared of the place before though.

So they have confirmed that its him?

My town is famouse for a psycho (sort of). Saint Joseph Missouris claim to fame is Jessy James. People seem to forget that he was a murderer and a thief. It was either him or Billy the Kid who robbed a train that my great great grandmother was on.

Apparently his daughter turned him in.  And gave police DNA samples.  He was a "compliance officer" for park city.  Every neghboor had something different to say about him

...over the years I have buried at least two on my really annoying ex-wives in my back garden, and no Law Enforcement Authority has volunteered to dig up my garden, (for free), to allow me to grow some more vegetables... ::)...!

Cheers all...!

I'm sure the US Army will gladly do this, if you tell them that Saddam's WMDs might be buried in your back garden. ;)

I'd say BTK has a 50/50 chance of getting off, all he needs is to hire OJ's legal team and then rely on the Police to screw up....happens all the time.
