Wonderful series. They don't make too many like that these days. I also reckon that it was more accurate than most people might imagine. This confirmed my opinion of politicians in general. ::)

I loved watching it after coming home from school, my dad used to have a few on, ummm...........................................................................

This, Blackadder and John Cleese as a Roman legionary saying "Found this spoon Sir" in the life of Brian are the three things that have made me laugh until I choke.  Damn good program that has never really received the attention that it deserves.

...Yes, thanks for that ozzy.....unbelievably funny... but a bit unnerving when one eventually realized it was VERY close to reality :D...Paul Eddington, sadly now deceased, as Jerry in THE GOOD LIFE was/is,  another firm favourite, and didn't he have some wonderful co stars in these programs...most of whom are still giving pleasure to millions....Sheer magic..... :)
