We have now got 359, (at the last count), carcinogenic items stocked in our Supermarkets.

It seems that many products that we buy each day now contain a deadly boot polish/floor polish dye... :o...!

I have problems enough, each day trying to find products low in salt, fat, sugar, etc,....
Now I have to search the labels for additives which are guarranteed to kill me..

What a way to go on... ::)...!

Cheers all...!

Paul....a home-grown carrot for tomorrow's dins.. ::).. :'(..!

Don't worry Paul, the majority of them would be high in salt etc and you wouldn't eat 'em anyway...  ;D
For those who are scared and would like to know what Paul is on about can click here... ;)
Now we all know Sudan is a troubled region...but by my whiskers I didn't know they had a weapon of mass destruction named after them! lol! ;)

Here we have Fozzer's Field (see, he's even got an airport named after him ;D) :
The all grass 'runway' can clearly be seen running down the middle of the pictue, with the 'hanger' visible in the top right. :P
Currently stored in this 'hanger' are : 1x Mk IXe Spitfire, 1x Messerschmitt BF109g, 1x Lancaster and of course, 1x rocket powered Triumph motorcycle ;D ;D ;D

Since this was first posted, the Marines have come and kidnapped the security staff (garden gnomes) and are holding them to ransom ;D

As for the mentioned topic : luckily I don't 'do' ready meals, so am REASONABLY safe ;)

Cheers,

Carl

Sorry to disillusion you but I think that "hangar" is where Foz keeps his sheep. Don't ask. :o :P :D

That's some nice grass, there, Fozz- if a bit in need of a haircut. Honestly, with a yard that small, a good ol' non-motorized reel mower will do: nice little easy workout, no gas to buy, no noise, no pollution. If you're not up to it, you could hire some local kid to do it for you. I used to rent a little house up in the woods with a yard about twice that size; tended it only by hand. No big deal... meanwhile, my neighbors, who'd also moved there to enjoy nature, would be out every weekend with giant riding mowers, leaf blowers, weed-whackers, chainsaw, etc. One of the reasons I moved back to the city- it's quieter!!
I don't understand the obsession with having a golf green surrounding the house; some of the nicest yards I've seen had a lot of wild, long grass and wildflowers. Or moss- nice to lie down on!!  More environmentally-friendly, too. And growing your own food is a nice idea, provided you know what will be sucked out of the ground by your veggies...!
As far as the hazardous food thing goes, there's a lot to worry about. Irradiated food, for example:  it  isn't the  radiation that worries me- it's the fact that the process often produces carcinogens in the food. But then again, I've always believed that worry itself contributes to disease... Personally, I try to eat as much fresh or organic food as I can. No canned meat or veggies, etc. It's time-consuming and sometimes expensive, but it's worth doing.

Good Heavens!

I now have to go look what I've been eating...Shepherds' Pie with a splash of Lea & Perrins sounds like the bloody menu, not something I'm supposed to be frightened of!

I'm hoping that the carcinogens in the food will be neutralised by the carcinogens in the cigarettes.  If not I'm buggered.
