Freeware Pirates!

Pirate alert!
It has come to my attension that a south american website:
http://www.virtualcol.net/aicolxp.htm
Is selling a package of AI models and flightplans that include models from almost every AI freeware group and individual at the present time.
This pirate has broken copyright laws and stolen models from PAI, AIA, Mike Stone, Henry and myself just to name a few.
I beg everyone to please do what you can to slam this pirate down. Please spread the word around all the relative FS forums you can. It's up to the entire FS community to protect freeware. Otherwise, it's going to dry up and you'll have to pay for the major part of your add-ons...

Theis, the problem is we have seen this so many times, and many have tried to do something about it. But it just doesnt seem to matter to these people.

Theis the best thing to do is report this individual to his ISP, they are the only ones who can take "legal" action.
Alas there are people out there like this, but little we can do except boycott them and warn people.

Here is an idea. It's not a new idea though.

Since many people who buy their first version of FS are not aware of our freeware websites, all we have to do is simply spread the word of our FS community so that the new folks can come here instead of those pirate sites.

As a result, those pirates will loose revenue because many people are becoming more and more aware that it's better to get freeware addons for free HERE at our FS community than to pay $40+ for the same addon on some pirate site they don't trust or don't even know about. This community knows which commercial sites are legitamate and which are not.

I have already spread the word long before you notified us of that pirate site. You don't need the internet to spread word. Talk to people directly in your town. If you are attending school or you attend well known areas, put up some posters that show many people that our community exisits.

We are a global community that consists of god-knows how many countries.

It's just that easy. It may not matter right now to those thieves, but sooner or later our presence will become a threat to their goals.

I'm sorry to hear this, Theis; the people behind this really are bastards. It angered me when I saw the site :-/

Is it not possible to report them?

One problem is that the degenerates arent actually losing any money, because they get this stuff for free like the rest of us do. So it dosnt cost them anything to put these add-ons up for sale.

(edit)

Just had a thought, maybe Interpol would be interested in this?

I guess I should have said "copyright infringment is copyright infringment".

But seriously, people have been suing lately over loss of "digital property", so why cant some legal action be taken in this instance?
