San Juan Int?
Just wondering since I am going on a little trip in April. I will be leaving JFK via Jet Blue's Airbus A330 and landing in San Juan. Staying at the Wyndham El Conquistador in Puerto Rico.Anybody been to Puerto Rico?

Dave

Certainly have! My family and I went in 2001 for vacation. Puerto Rico is very beautiful.. San Juan International has, as I recall, a lot of DC-3's hanging around for shuttles. Also, Roosevelt Roads NAS is a good planespotting site.. Lotsa P-3's and F-18's. :) Dave, if you wanna know any more, give me a shout! ;)

I don't think Jet Blue has an A330..probally an A320....Also the departure from San Jau is awesome ifyou go the way we did you take off make a hard left then right out over the ocean...

Don't forget to visit the Bacardi Rum plant. Some good casinos, I stayed at the San Juan Holiday Inn there years ago. Had a great time. Avoid eating the octopus though, unless you're a really adventureous eater! Bon Voyage! :)

Only stopped there to transfer; en route to Antigua. We had about 40 minutes; I ran downstairs and spent a few minutes on a street-corner just looking around. Didn't get much of an impression, but I'll tell you that on approach, San Juan looks like paradise. Lovely.
If you're going to stay in PR awhile, my PR friends tell me you absolutely must get out of San Juan for a while; visit some little town on the coast.
More laid-back, friendlier people, lower prices. And the beaches are amazing!!
