For those of you who don't know the above name you should.
This is a 28 year old English woman who is smashing sailing records. The unusual thing is she was born and bred not 10 miles from where I live, in the most landlocked part of England.
HER LATEST RECORD. She crossed the finishline at 22.30 GMT.

And she's comming into port not ten miles from where I live. Falmouth. I intend to go and watch her arrival. When ever that may be... Dad's even suggested taking the boat out. If I go I'll try and get a few photo's.

Don't worry. The sight of a 40ft gaffer bearing down on you is enough to get any boat to move out the way. ;D

The BBC are covering her arrival back in Falmouth .... they have a correspondant out on HMS Severn following the boat in. Ellen has insisted that she is steering the boat into Falmouth alone ... despite only having 5 hours sleep last night.

Before you consider how amazing this is, consider this, Sir Robin Knox-Johnson, the first man to do this trip did it in a 40 foot mono hull. It took him 313 days. He had no GPS to navigate with and for most of the journey he had no autopilot. Now that is a feat.
