reflections of a philosophical mind!

... kinda!  ;)

I am wondering on the idea's of our older members about this.

As I am nearing 30 I start thinking about my life and I am quite stunned! Getting older isn't bad, it's enriching! Let me explane!

Me and confidance: It's ever growing, I have given press-conferences, product-presentations, I represented my compagny on several fairs... I could never have done this several years back

Me and the ladies: As I get older I get more at ease around them. A while ago my boss rented a hostess to help us out during a fair. collegues and invites stood there laughing sheepish at the beatyful women who turned out to be a model. I had a nice and long coversation with her, in French, hardly my best language! You should have seen me some time ago in that situation, sweaty, not finding the words, you know...

Me and music: more, better, more variation: I like pop, classical, cinematic music, techno-elektro, blues, and I am getting into cuban stuff now...

Me and food: one word gastronomy! There is so much extraordenary food out there!

It feels like I am learning new stuff every day, new tastes, new feelings! I love it. Tell me, does it go on like this? I don't fear getting older, I fear loosing interest! But life is wonderful as it is now!

( I don't wanna brag, I just feel this way and I want to share my positive view I have on life right now!)

I feel much the same way Omag. I was once very shy & wouldn't say boo to a goose. Well, I don't have to tell you what I'm like now do I? ::) I'll chat to anyone even if they don't want to chat. 8)

I find a nice smile makes all the difference when you're dealing with people, especially the young ladies*. Look them straight in the eye when you meet them. This melts the coldest heart & you'll have them eating out of your hand in no time. Well, maybe they're giggling AT this silly old fool chatting them up but who cares. I gave up caring what people think of me ages ago. ;)

*PS. Unfortunately only the older ones fancy me now so this new-found confidence doesn't do me much good. Wish I'd known all this years ago. ;D

Pfft, thirty's nothing. Thirty-FIVE, now that hurts. And wait 'till you start noticing more hair where there shouldn't be, and less where there should.... ;D. And why does time start going by faster as you age? Wassup wit dat?
I'm with you, though- every unsatisfactory thing in my life right now has nothing to do with my age, and there's definitely a sort of warm enjoyment of life's finer but simple  things as well as a growing sense of self-acceptance.
My only problem with aging is that feeling that time's running out- I've got a lot to do, and I'm too busy just living my so-called life to get to all of it while I still have the energy!!  Wasted too much time in my youth...
My horoscope recently told me I'm aging backwards; I think that may be true. Best part of that is that by the time I grow "young" enough to need diapers, I'll be so old that nobody'll find it strange.  ;D
