An RAF C-130 Hercules crashed at around 1725 local time on 30 January some 30 kilometres north-west of Baghdad. The cause of the crash, and the extent of casualties among personnel on board are not yet known. Further details will be promulgated as soon as possible.

All British Hercs were new when purchased, be it a C-130K, or the new C-130J.
Lets wait and see, ther's no point speculating as to the cause, or who was involved...

Posted: Mon Jan 31, 2005 5:39 pmThe MOD are not saying a word to anyone at the moment. And it sounds like they are getting highly annoyed with the news companys speculating on the cause. There is certainly something more to this than meets the eye, so its best to wait to see what they say.
