Infrared argh!!!!!!

O.k heres the thing. My computer came with this remote so I can control my computer and watch t.v and stuff. And when you press the remote the signal goes straight to this external infrared thing-a-magig. But what I want to do is connect my phone to my computer using infrared. How can I make this possible. I have already installed all the phone software onto my computer

umm is the infared enabled on your pc? Some of em are disabled by default...

I dont really know if it is enabled or disabled. How do I find out lol

several ways to do that..

Most common way I've found is in device manager....

if it's not there, check your bios settings, this is where I've found it on all of my IR capable pc's.. ;-)

Bios ? Where can I find this Bios ?

umm... did you get a manual with your motherboard? If not I suggest going to the manufacturers web-site, downloading the manual, and looking up the bios, and the different settings in there...

DON"T mess with it until you feel like you know enough to change settings....you can look all you want, without making changes... ;-)
