For Hagar - sex in the city...

Hi, I couldn't help but reading Hagar's response to the Harry Potter Hermaline thingie. He said that the stories are succesfull without sex roaring it's ugly head. Now I was going to make some cheap remarks about the "magic wands" and broomsticks in the movies, but... Darn! I did it anyway... :-/ ;D
Ahum... my point again? Oh yeah. I think it's wrong to think a little sensuality would harm a story like that or other parts of life. But the problem Hagar is having with it lies in the terms he uses himself! Sex roaring it's ugly head. The word sex alone is, to me, hard and unpersonal.
I guess it is the way it is depicted in all media today. Sex, the cold, hard, lust thing is everywhere. And I do agree it can be quite annoying. What's even worse is that it doesn't even let any room for the idea of " making love" as something connected to loving someone with all your hearth, something mystical and one of the most beautifull parts of life. Some people get scared of the idea alone today... Look at ( and please, take no offence guys, nothing personal...) the United States. "live"shows are shown with several seconds of delay, so they can react in case someting unappropriate happens. Isn't it sad that the harsh way love is depicted today make the tender part of it impossible? Children nowadays know far more than we used to do when we were young, and that's frightning in a way. They only seem to know the cold "technical" parts about it. Where's the magic, where's the mystery.
Sorry 'bout the rampage, but i feel it should be said once.
See Hagar? See what you make me do? And then we even agree on the thing... ;D ;D ;D
And don't go yelling kids should know before it's to late and get into trouble... Offcourse they do... but perhaps not the way they get to know it today...
