I say if someone doesn't want to show up to work everyday replace them with someone who does.
Three cheers mate! :-)
[soapbox]
About two years ago a lot of us people got laid off from where I worked, after two months they called me back..later on I found out that I was one of the first because I "had no bills"...
Umm what do you call tuition? Books, Insurance/car? etc... These things all add up as well...
Sure I'm not paying for a house, but I really wish I was...in the past 3 1/2+ years I have spent over $42,000USD towards an education..tuition is due in full every six months (Basically before each semester starts), unlike a house payment which can be spread over the course of 20+ years if so desired!!! Also keep in mind that when I'm in school for 8 months out of every year I'm only part time making less than anyone else there makes...
I know I can take student loans out to pay for my education, but if I can pay for it now by working hard, why not? Right? And I can't really complain because this past semester was the only time that I was really short money and had to do the 3 payments throughout the semester...
I'm not trying to complain too much here, I just wish that the people I work with (Boss included) would think for a minute and realize that just because I don't have a house payment, I still might have bills that need to be paid, and things that need to be done.
Thankfully I've only got 4 more months to go before graduation and I'll be able to get a better job somewhere... ;-)
