Overdid it? Hell no. In my opinion, if you're going to go all out like that, you really need to go... all out. Thats just scratching the surface. My guess is they are first time homeowners that have no clue how expensive a million lights cost to light up.

As for scratching the surface, about 50,000 more lights should do the trick.

Gotta be bad when your neighbors house lights go dim when you switch on your outside christmas light.

I think we need more people like this.  That's awesome.

My old neighbor lights his house up like this every year.  I'm surprised more planes haven't tried to land in his yard.  It's all lit up in the same blue as the taxiway lights.  :o

Every year, at least one person comes to see his lights that has seen his house from a plane coming into the nearby international airport.  Actually this year we're flying in to visit my parents for x-mas, but unfortunately we'll land in day so we can't see it as well.

He has a huge sign on the roof and the garage that say "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year".  You can read that from a plane.

You gotta take a picture and show us.

Oh you want to see this years light show? I'll have to wait until tonight to take a new picture, of course there won't be any lights in the upper floor windows because like I said I didn't feel like messing with any lights this year.

Must be the Griswalds, LOL!!
That would suck if one burned out.
But on the bright side (no pun intended) if the house was to burn to the ground it shouldn't be too hard to find the cause.

I like it
