The latest in family entertainment on British television.

A new, regular program, showing the slow decomposition of a human corpse over a period of time.

This highly entertaining program will be filmed on Channel 4, (where most of the daft programs are broadcast), presumably after the "watershed" so that little Johnny and Mary-Lou wont see it and suffer from nightmares.

The grown-ups will be fascinated by the graphic detail whilst sat on the settee, picking the maggots out of their pepperoni pizza and swatting the flies laying eggs on the sliced tomatoes.

The program will be followed by a regular documentary filming couples sexual copulation and discussing various faults in their behavior which may lead to their disappointment.

Lord preserve us from this stupidity...!

Is there any wonder why I stopped watching television 28 years ago...?

Cheers all... ;)... ;D....!

I think TV has reached the armpit of entertainment. I don't watch Hungarian TV for much the same reason!
However I can quite happily watch great stuff on DVD on my PC like Piece of Cake, Battle of Britian, Reach For The Sky and other quality stuff featuring Spitfires ;D
Failing that I've always got Thunderbirds, Joe 90 and Captain Scarlet 8)

the good news at least is that reality tv is dying. the experts say people are getting sick of it. This could be the final nail in the coffin of reality tv. i hope

Ever heard of Peter Greenaway - he made 'strange' movies. In one of his movies you see a body slowly rot away (sorry, there must be a nicer word).

Great movies, by the way ...

LOL Good one Craig. ;D

I was going to point out that this is more a reflection of the audience than the TV company. I know from talking to people that "reality TV" is still very popular. It's a cheap copout for the TV company but they wouldn't waste time putting this rubbish on if nobody watched it. ::) :D

PS. I was wondering about suitable adverts to show in the breaks, if there are any. ;)

Hey they could combine that with Fear Factor and for the final "stunt" the remaining contestants would have to consume the decayed body!

Wholesome entertainment for the whole family!!

There are a few reality shows I enjoy

The Apprentice

Rebel Billionare- awesome stunts!! I want to try the bi-plane stunt!! of course though the tea on top of the balloon at 10,000' would be something of itself!!!

Survivor was good the first time around, now it is the same show different location

Big Brother- probably the most "real" as far as how locking up complete strangers to see how they can live with each other.

But I only watch The Apprentice and Rebel Billionare I find both of them entertaining and even a bit educational (in a business perspective.

I've lost more faith in humanity than I have in those entertaining us.

Television right now sucks.  Not even worth the time looking for something to watch.

As a scientific sort of person, I despair at all the youngsters believing all this "entertainment" educational crap beamed at them on the television....!
Aarrggghhh.... >:(....!
LOL...!

Although there are exceptions I have to agree there Paul. I haven't seen this "Blue Planet" but am I the only person to think that the award-winning "Walking with Dinosaurs" was a load of expensive rubbish? ::) More like science fiction than Star Trek ever was. I did watch one episode to see what all the fuss was about & decided it wasn't for me. My immediate thought was that it was obviously inspired by Jurassic Park which was probably more accurate. I rarely watch TV at all these days. My licence is due for renewal soon. Maybe I won't bother.

This is all part of the inexorable dumbing down and brainwashing that is taking place in the UK. You can decide for yourself what the eventual intended outcome is supposed to be.

I should think that "Planet Earth" shall by just like "The Blue Planet" and be your regular, factual BBC wildlife documentry. Like Wildlife on One/Two only far more expensive to produce and far better to watch. With everything being film for real and not computer animated.
