180MPH at Daytona International Super Speedway. To complete a lap, it is a 2 mile, all out pedal to the floor track! I got to drive an actual Nascar after signing my sig over a dozen times saying I would not hold anybody liable if I were to drive myself into the concrete wall! Spend the entire morning learning the ropes then we suited up and jumped in! It was really wild. After the 5th lap, I was starting to get comfy. I can't comprehend how those cars can do 200mph, 3 wide. I would focus on something ahead of me and by the time I went to react to it, I passed it! It was the best $500 I spent in Florida! Funny how my wife did not mind that but has a problem with me wanting to fly

I took my '96 Camaro somewhere between 120-125mph one time (I think its supposed to have a governor at about 120, but I'm not sure).  At those speeds, the speedometer isn't terribly accurate-but it was just past the 120mph mark.

I also took my '69 Camaro up to a little over 100mph, I haven't had the courage to take it any higher yet.  But, it felt like it had a lot left.

Not only that Ken but I did my basic racing drivers course (single-seat Formula Fords and XR2i) there and my skids course! Brilliant fun.
Also raced quad-bikes on their rally circuit once, it had been raining and I looked like the creature from the black-latrine ;D ;D ;D

When we went to Germany a while back we were doing about 130 on the Autobahn... Then about four years ago we went around 120 on the Salt Flats in Utah I think it was? And of course, the occasional 100 mph night on the freeway with my brother driving... ::)

196.5 mph in a modified 1971 Chevrolet Biscayne Police Special. It had a 454 cid Interceptor Engine pulling 500 horse power (dynamometer tested). This was a clocked speed (via the Florida Highway Patrol), as the speedometer would only register 140 mph. This was done completely legally on a closed course testing for the Sheriff's Department.

It could maintain 140 mph for a considerable distance and it's peak speed on short bursts was estimated at 200 mph. Never quite managed to hit 200 mph. It would do 0 - 100 in about 10 seconds if my memory serves me correctly.

;D
