Stupid Ebay user?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 68859&rd=1 is what appears to be a very stupid Ebayer's listing for a "Boeing Style RC aircraft". It says 767 on the tail but come on! How can you be dumb enough to not know that the 767 is a very big airliner? Heck, as far as I know Boeing does not even make turboprop aircraft (which is what this model appears to be). Comments?

I think you're taking for granted the fact that everyone here and in the simming community in general can name an aircraft in an instant, often with some degree of accuracy.  Most people in the general population don't even know that a 767 is something different from a 747.  And many don't really care.

That looks like a semi-scale Dash 8. Boeing apparently took over De Havilland Canada in 1988 so while not strictly accurate the description "Boeing style aircraft" is technically correct.

The seller must be an Airbus Rep.     :P

Airbus..... Never cared for an airplane that could override a pilot.......

Never cared for an airplane that could override a pilot.......

I think that depends on the situation, remember, a lot of accidents occur due to pilot error...

Aircraft manufacturing companies change their names so regularly these days even I have problems keeping up. No wonder people get confused. ::)

PS. Just before I retired, Short Brothers of Belfast (established in 1908 & the oldest aircraft manufacturing company in the UK) was owned by Bombardier of Canada. Goodness knows who owns it now. De Havilland Aviation, one of the most famous names in aviation, is now a small maintenance outfit based at Bournemouth Airport which has no connection with the original company. It does however operate a few vintage DH jets for display on the airshow circuit. http://www.aviation-museum.co.uk/dehavilland.html
