"Remembrance Day"
I thought I would take a moment and post this short note.
Tomorrow is Remembrance Day, on the Eleventh Hour, Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month of 1918 the war to end all wars "World War One" ended.
Well, World War Two has come and gone, Korea and many many other wars and Peace Keeping Actions are in progress or ended, far to many to list here.
November 11th is the day we Honour all Veterans and all those who have served and are serving to-day.
I for one poke fun at my military career but knowing full well it was the best time of my life.

Well, I just want to say thank you to anyone who has served, is serving, or is planning to serve in order to protect my home country, and ensure freedom among its citizens... ;-)
I really and seriously appreciate the effort that everyone of you have put into takign care of America... :-)

I heard on the news today that since the end of WWI the only year in which a British serviceman was not killed in the line of duty was 1968.

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
By Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army

Very Nice JRoc...Nicely Done

Thanks for posting it.
Attendance was up all across this country of ours for Remembrance Day. More young people want to find out more about their military and it's deeds.

Act of RemembranceThey shall not grow old as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the Sun,and in the morning,
We will remember them.
We Will Remember Them. Two Minutes Silence.
Last Post.
