Heard about it on the radio. Like John Peel, Fred was one of a kind. We shan't see their like again. :(

I shall always remember Fred's maniacal grin after successfully toppling a chimney & his favourite comment. "D'ya like thaaat?". ;)

A national treasure indeed. As the old saying goes, they don't make 'em like that any more. This might bring back a few fond memories for anyone like me who loved old Fred.

PS. Fred wasn't popular with everyone. I'm not sure I would have wanted to live near him. ::) ;)
