I'm Annoyed

Postby Eskimo » Sat Nov 06, 2004 7:32 pm

Just when I was getting ready to leave for my weekly flying lesson, what happens?  It starts to rain.  And I mean REALLY rain.  Don't get me wrong, I love rain, just not when I'm 5 weeks away from getting my license.  :'(

And, of course, Australia needs some rain, but why when I'm flying?  ???

Wanting to know if it was a bad at Archerfield, I phoned to flying school and was told that the cloud base was 500 feet and they couldn't see the tower 500 metres away!  :o

So, now I'm waiting for them to call me back to see if the weather gets better, but I doubt it.  As it is forecast to get worse.

Okay, rant's over, I'm feeling slightly better now.  ;)

Aviation rule #1:  The remaining rules depend on the weather.

Hi Eskimo:

The next time this happens to you, recite this little verse.
I am glad I am down here
Wishing
I was up there
Than
Up there
Wishing I was down here
I used to make all my students memorize that ;)

Good luck on your flying lessons and remember "Time to spare...go by air" :)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Hi Eskimo,

Just phone your instructor and tell them you've practiced in those condition MANY times in FS and you feel competent enough to do it for real.

See what he/she says about that ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Failing that..........Sit it out mate ::)

Cheers,

Carl out.....
