Looks interesting. Apparently the red paint comes off easily.

Yes that coin does look Great...however if I had my way there would be no coins at all...just paper money...and it would be nice if we all used the one currency :)

HMMM...now let me think a moment...Yes...The United Nations Dollar...own it and get a piece of the world :)

I should be able to make a buck out of this somehow? ::)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Actually it's just a collectors coin. Just like the state quarters you guys issued a while back.

Have you ever tried to use an American pop vending machine?

Sorry Iroquois can't say I have...don't drink pop...tea, milk or scotch is on my menu...however I have seen them use coke and pepsi to take rust off different things :)
We also pour a large bottle of coke or pepsi down the sink to keep the septic system working at least twice a year :)

By the way I hear some veterans here are not happy with that coin...it was on the new but I missed it...will try to catch it later.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Well they accept dollar bills but half the time they spit them back out becuase they're slightly dog eared or something.

Hi Iroquois:

Now that you mention that I do not think I have ever seen a vending machine take paper money.

Now the wife and I do a lot of travelling but seldom or almost never do we use a vending machine.

Yep...Got to love it when they do that.  Or my favorite...At school when we need to get change for a $5, we use the one vending machine that will except them and press the change return to get quarters to use in the several other ones.  Lately it has been despencing only 4 quarters and then 4 of those #@^$ golden dollar coins that are virtualy useless in most machines including the one that gave them as change >:(  Why in hell the US mints had to come up with that crazy coin :-/

Hi Iroquois:

Yes, I just found out that the red color fades and wears off very easily.
That is why the Veterans are not pleased.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

I had the same problem last week with a change machine. I was trying to get change for the pop machine. I must have put three $5 bills in there and it wouldn't accept any of them.  :P I guess it doesn't accept the new bills.
The parking ticket dispensors won't accept the new series of coins either. They must be very sensitive.

If only your quarters could buy more.  ::) I keep finding American change in my wallet but I have no idea where it comes from. Is there a conspiracy to sneek American pennies up here?
