Hello fellow members I was wondering if any one here is particpating in the bootleggers race to africa. It is the first time for me. This is a great experience for anyone to find out just how good you are. The first stage had you landing on a  short grass strip complete with trees at the approach end. You are using the C182RG landing was not to hard but you had to take of heading for the trees not much room for error. Thought it was great I doubt it if i will place anywhere in the front but so far it is great.

ANDREW that is exactly what I mean
the link is www.battleoftheairlines.org
Unfortuneately registration is closed for this year. But from what I can see it is a anual event.
You will not be able to use any of the software without a pilot code. So far I think it is great not your ordinary flights each leg has something different and challangeing. In the second leg you fly a dc3 in what has to be the worst turblance ever than to top it off you have to go from 8,ooo ft. to 500 ft in a very short time you have to get below radar so the tunisions do not spot you. 8)

I did it last year and it was a lot of fun.  I think I made it to Stage 5 and I still have the lunar scenery installed (if I can ever find it).

I had to pass this year because my 3 year old computer runs FS04 so slow, a few pressures at work, etc.
