Concorde

Should the production of Concorde be once again be started and for every airline to buy? ;)

no.
As much as seeing it fly would be great, from a realistic point its impossible. No airline in the world today could afford to run a fleet of concordes (and it would require a fleet) its too just too expensive to run right now. Also it would be almost impossible to build anymore, ever wonder why they never built newer models?

I agree with Craig. If it were possible to build Concorde from new the cost would be prohibitive & no airline could afford it. You also have to consider the problems with operating supersonic aircraft over land & where it would be allowed to operate from. Both Air France & BA were plagued with these problems throughout the life of Concorde. There were very few airports it was allowed to operate from because it was so noisy. It also had a limited range & payload. Much as I like the aircraft it was never really a commercial proposition.

I agree with the above, i also say yes, but only if it was re-designed to carry much more passengers.  I think a 500 seater version would be better.  It would be much more cost-effective than just 150 seats.

I'd have said it was a rather well preserved corpse myself. Besides, with noise regs she wouldn't be allowed to fly anywhere useful anyway...

I agree with everything mentioned above.  Especially the part about rotting corpses.  Very nasty!!

supersonic comercial travel simply isn't profitable and never really was, especially now that there is not so much necsesity for execs to cross the pond in a hurry, many things that were once face to face can now be done easily over the net

But I don't want to know the conditions of aircraft in museums...the interior ones...


So me thinks the term "rotten" fits just fine. ;)
