I completely agree with that.  The NY Jets are looking much better than they have in recent years.  Although I don't think this is neccessarily "their year," I think they are one of the up and rising teams.  I think that they have a great weapon in young QB Chad Pennington.  I think that the fight for the AFC Wild Card spots is going to be very interesting-and the Jets should be right in the mix.

Just for the record, there are a few other teams that I think are going to enter a new era.  Some of those include Seattle, Atlanta (provided Vick can stay healthy-and imho he is an injury risk), and finally the Detriot Lions.  All of these teams have had hard times over the last few years, but they seem to be building up for a run.  I feel that both Seattle and Atlanta will make a playoff run this season-while the Lions will show a substantial improvement.  Give Detriot another year or 2, and they will be great (Harrington and Williams is going to become an elite duo).

risky picks, yes. but i am confident.
the way Buffalo took it to new england last week shows they are a good team. this will be a good game thats for sure.
as for Miami, i dont know why, i just think they are due some sucess and if they can hold the patriots to no more than a 7 point lead into the 4th qtr a win wouldnt be out of the question

It aint gonna be easy. The toughest division in the NFC, maybe the league, Mcnabb is overrated in my opinion and T.O. complains whenever he doesnt get his own way. They have a real crap scheduel upto December with some of the hardest games a team could have to play. If they can go 6-0 then a playoff should be certain, superbowl? no. Minnesota, Philly in the NFC finals though.
Richies points are def impossible to argue with.
I am not looking forward to the AFC playoffs this year, 4 teams almost certain to go through, Denver, New England, Indy and the Jets. The wild cards though are anyones guess. From a Broncos fan POV i hope we end up with Indy first in the playoffs, with the new D we have, they should be able to keep Manning very busy.

Dude, that is so true it's not even funny.  That guy needs to grow up.  I don't see the Eagles going to the Super Bowl-but they could.  They are deffinately going to be a playoff team dispite the hard division and they have a lot of talent-but I just don't see it.  Buying a lot of talent doesn't win championships.

It was an interesting week, I can't believe that Detriot beat Atlanta (but I'm glad).

Its good to know Vick isnt completely unstoppable. especially since the broncos  have to go against them in a few weeks.
Now if someone could stop those pesky Patriots. I dont wish harm on people generally but if someone were to tackle a little low on brady i would turn a blind eye to it :)

I don't mind the Patriots, they were so bad for so long-they deserve to have some success.
