Just found out about his.  The little punk lived with us for about a year.  Everyone has given this girl every chance in the book to reform herself, she has had psychologists, doctors, and people who care for her.  People who don't even know her have gone out of their way to help her, but all to no avail.  Now she has hit the big time as is going to jail.  The way I see it, she will either see how this is destroying her, or she is going to consider it a badge of courage and be prooud of it.  Unfotunately, it is probably the latter...  ::)  All I can say is that I'm glad we're no longer involved in this mess.

What to say?  There's just so much one can do, and then they have to face up to the consequences.

this is a sad situation. The thing is, with jail it soon sorts out the petty thugs and true criminals, hopefully for her sake she is the first option and it really does scare her straight

Sometimes people have to hit absolute rock-bottom before they realize the only way is up.  Maybe this is the shock she needed.

It is a sad situation and I hope she realizes she has been blessed not to be dead for this stupid action! If this isn't the "wake up" call she has been needing I don't know what else would be!
It saddens me everytime I read or hear about a young child that has all the help in the world offered to them but refuse to accept it in order to be "cool" or get attention. And it always seems to be the ones that already get the attention but are blind too see it that pull stupid stunts such as this.
I hope when said and done she realizes just what it is that she has done and how lucky she is to be alive. Jail time will be the easy part, realizing her mistakes will be hard.

I won't even allow this girl around the twins any more, and she was present when they were born.  After the wife and I, she was the first family to see them.  That was when we thought we might be able to help her.  Now I don't even want to look at her.

I feel so sorry for you. I supposed someone has to be related ot these sort of ppl though.
