Flight Sim Woes...

Postby Stroke » Sun Oct 03, 2004 2:50 am

Hi,  I'm somewhat new to this forum and kinda old to Flight Sims, so if this is in the wrong place let know...

I started off in Sims a long while ago and have had problems ever since I can remember, I just can't seem to get my Sims tweaked correctly. There is always a performance lag somewhere with something. I have been very disappointed with the help I've recieved from the software companies in general but found a group awhile back that was very helpful that I joined them until I moved. I tried the original FS before I bought it and I never got it to work the same as when I tried it. I'm now up to FS9 (FS 2004) and the warnings I've read about my machine and XP and my graphics card have not come to pass, but I still have problems with my joystick that seems to make me want to replace it, and send this one down to the  discard box of obsolete computer gear...But I think it's  just me not getting it...

Does anyone else share this frustrayion with me?

Umm...(sadly) no.

Concerning flightsims, everything's fine on my PC, but other software stuff gives me trouble. There's always something that doesn't work properly. Sadly, there's no way to dump Windows if you want to continue playing your sims. If Linux was a bit more friendly concerning games and such, my Windows would be gone immediately.

So I'm just partially sharing your frustration.

Oh,by the way...welcome to the only forum on the net where insanity is heavily appreciated! But watch out for low-flying Spitfires... :)

Yeah, welcome to SimV.
Sorry, I don't share your frustration, I just find I've got a lot of hardware dying on me at the moment.
Another thing, watch out for low flying spitfires being flown by ozzy, usually under and around bridges, lol. ;D

The thing about computers. If it ain't broken, your not trying.  ;D

You can pick up a half decent joystick for pretty cheap these days so thats not a problem. If you're having trouble with the rest of your system, tell us what you've got in your computer and we'll tell you if it's up to the job.
