AAAE Anybody???

Postby Jared » Fri Oct 01, 2004 10:52 pm

AAAE (American Association of Airport Executives)

Anybody else part of it, or been part of it?

My school, Kent State University is working on starting a local chapter of the AAAE through which we can benefit greatly, I figured the $40 membership wasn't too bad a deal for a bi-weekly newsletter and many other benefits...

Also on another note:

I just signed up for Aviation Week and Space Technology magazine/Journal? Which is a weekly mailing, so hopefully it will show up soon...:-)

Yeah, the school has had several people from the AOPA come through and lecture about the importance of joining...

also we are trying to get local chapters of the EAA, and the AIAA programs started at the school.  The school had 5-6 programs a few years ago, but they have all dissappeared and we are trying to get at least some of them started up again...:-)

Good luck! It is a lot of work getting chapters together but the end payoff is awesome!!!
And make certain that you allow non-aviators to join makes the group more community friendly! And you'll find that it is a big plus! For the chapter and aviation in general.

Thanks for the information, will keep it in mind! :-)

Hopefully everything will work out, I'm also going to try and make sure that there is an option for KSU Alumni to be actively involved in the program as well as I want to be involved in it for some time to come, but am set to graduate in May...:-)
