Tom and Jerry are tops!

Well in a British poll of top cartoons Tom and Jerry ousted all (with both kids and adults!)... so here are the top ten...

1 Tom and Jerry (1940)
2 Scooby-Doo (1969)
3 DangerMouse (1981)
4 Top Cat (1961)
5 The Flintstones (1960)
6 Bugs Bunny (1940)
7 Popeye (1933)
8 Road Runner (1964)
9 Wacky Races (1968)
10 Hong Kong Phooey (1974)

And the sad part is I like all of these except the Flintstones ;D

What all these hyped up "Japanesse" brain washing cartoons didn't make the cut?
Don't feel bad Mark I remember and liked all of these and then some, and what is wrong with the Flintstones? Just because a movie was made that ruined thier image ;D

And what about Speed Racer, The Jetsons and I even got a kick out of Tail Spin ;D

There is more truth in cartoons than CBS's 60 minutes! ;D

I don't know whats wrong with them Jeff, they just never really did anything for me, along with the Jetsons. And I only like the original series of Scooby as well, Scrappy does my head in!
Glad to see Roadrunner sneaked into the top 10, its my all-time favourite 8)

I'm a die hard Bugs Bunny fan and really enjoyed the Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner hour. Especially watching it with my children during reruns. Yosemite Sam was hilarious and Longhorn Leghorn was really funny, especially his tormenting that dog....lol. Daffy was a real hoot as well and who could forget Porky Pig, Sylvester, and Marvin the Martian.

I remember that the original Johnny Quest from the early 60's was a cool carton as well and had a really cool theme song.

Aw,  me and my brother still watch Tom and Jerry and laugh. The humour in the new cartoons just can't beat the classic stuff. *starts running as dynamite flies out of screen*

;D I'm sorely tempted to buy a looney tunes DVD I saw the other day, still get a laugh out of them... I'm just a big kid I guess  ;D

Did you know that Popeye was orginally a Adult Cartoon played in seedy theaters before the main event?
