Hurricane Jeanne (with winds currently sustained at 115mph) is heading right for me, I'm already bunkered down and waiting to loose power. Loosing power really stinks when it is 84-90*F outside since it gets to be around 3 degrees warmer inside my house. Wish me luck!

Where are you, in the Bahamas?
Here in Boca Raton it's raining off and on but it's not so bad that I can't go to the pub to watch football.

Let me know when you lose power... so I can start hiding my PC ...

Scheduled landfall is about 8PM (12Midnight GMT) about an hour and a half. Wind is picking up a wee bit.

Are you sure you are in Florida? On the east coast we predict landfall at midnight-2am local.

It's been around for a while. I drove back from the pub in 30-40 knot winds.
Cable tv went out about a half hour ago (it goes out if you sneeze, I think they look for excuses).
Got phone, electricity = internet, and ice and beer for later.

I got through this one pretty easy. 90% of the county has no electricity but all I got was a few hours without cable tv or telephone and less than an hour without electricity.
