Sup all,
I know this an old subeject but just out of curiosity what do you think were the Phoenix Lights ??
I heard some team of investigators found some kind of box which puts the mystery to rest but for all we know that is maybe all BS. So what do you think caused the Phoenix Lights ?

I live in the Phoenix area, although I was not here when the lights appeared.  I did see it on the news though.  I have not heard any follow-up to the story.  I do know that on many nights you can see airliner landing lights and from a distance they don't appear to be moving very fast.  Also, one of the theories was flares fired by the military.  I'll see if I can find anything else.

I saw something about this on the Discovery Channel. Groupings of strange lights had appeared over Pheonix. Some people claim they're flying saucers. I think they're probably just planes from the nearby airforce base.

Oh yeah. I saw this on Sci-Fi a while ago...

It's probably a flight out of Davis-Monthan. You never know. Although, as Kay said in "Men In Black", "The best way that people get on with their happy little lives is they do not KNOW ABOUT IT!"

That's my stance on it. :)

The formation was so tight and solid this cant be ?

The Intl airport (forgot its name) said they had nothing on radar

Have you never seen the Thunderbirds perform at an airshow? In some maneauvers, they fly within 2 feet of eachother

Simple explanation. F-117 or F-22's flying in tight formation like Andrew said. Both planes have stealth technology so they wouldn't show up on radar.

I don't remember this incident which is not surprising. Even if it was reported over here I take no notice of such things. Did anyone mention engine noise?

Eye-witness reports are notoriously unreliable. This was proved in a recent Channel 4 TV documentary. The idea was to build a huge R/C controlled airship shaped like a "flying saucer" & fly it over Avebury where all the UFO freaks hang out. This time the UFO watchers had actually seen a UFO but when asked to describe & draw what they saw just a few minutes earlier every single one was different. The mind plays some strange tricks & some people see what they want to see. ::)

i visit the phoenix area quite frequently, and there are alot of  airports and military bases in that area. planes are all over the sky at night, mainly flying tight patterns into Sky Harbor. there is also a missile test range not far away as i recall. (Barry M Goldwater test range?)
