I say this because I was wondering has anybody seen Dean, AKA Cherokee6?  I hope he is alright.
Also, I am sure many of you remember Nick Churchill, AKA Joker. He used to post some really nice shots here. Word has it he has been killed. Do not quote me, but I know a forum he was a moderator in and many people have been looking for him since May!
Strange thing these forums. We all spend so much time here, we discuss so much about our personal lives with each other. We make many friends and live the ups and downs with each other. The strange part is, My wife Barbara really has no clue as to how "involved" I am here. She just thinks I am "talking to my pilot friends" LOL. What I am getting at is...in this virtual world we all come together in, if one were to pass away, who really tells the rest of us what happened?  Look how long it took us to find out about Tipster. The big reason was that he went missing and his death was in the paper along with his site posting the news.
I know if I were to die tomorrow, none of you here would ever know what happened. My wife would never come here to tell anybody unless she "stumbled" onto my PC's homepage and maybe saw that I had over 100 messages in my inbox...  ::)
I guess what I am getting at is that we all have become good friends here and it is sad to hear of one's passing. I guess that's the way it works here in the virtual world, one day your here, the next day you are gone without any explanation.....

Yeah I know what u mean.... perhaps you can somehow do a search Dave - when was his last posts?
Could be quite possible that he has just tired of SimV or temporarily lost interest.

This is the last I heard from Dean,......I was actually looking forward to metting up with him, but alas, it never came to pass.........I have wondered more than just a bit what has happened........This quote is from a private message he sent to me......my reply is still unanswered.

I always hate to think ill of anyone, especially people I know and care about, like here. So here's my answer-

Maybe they're just really busy. I mean, we don't know what they do for a living (well, I don't). They could've just had trintuplets for all we know and are too busy with that!


Very good words, Dave. Although my sister has been asked to come to my homepage and post in the Cafe with my name saying somthings happened to me.

All you guys are like second family to me, and I don't want you left in the dark.

Sad thing about this virtual world, one can disappear into thin air...

I just wonder how many regular members have gone away... I'm not around long enough to know...

I haven't heard from Dean for ages. I hope he is okay and its nothing more serious than a PC on the fritz.
I still remember getting the email about John "FSTipster" and sitting in front of my PC in shock.
Don't worry about me though, if anything happens my wife knows what to do, so you'll all know that the bridges of this world have become safe...

If I were to die, then theres like a 50/50 chance that it would be on the news.....................If I knew I was going to like die in 24 hours, I would steal a cessna 152 and attempt to tresspass Russian airspace ...................but if that doesn't happen, then I doubt that you would know about it

Great to have you back, Cherokee... There's really no need to apologize. You have your own life. We all do. (even though we don't want to admit it! ) And this place really shouldn't interfere with them. Sorry to hear about your illness and wife's grandmother's passing. But glad to hear you're back!
