Hurrah! I'm finally getting cable high speed internet either tomorrow or the next day! I don't think anyone here knows what it's like to work on a T1 all day and then go home and use dial-up! It is torture! I've put a poll here to get the statistics on who has what internet service wise.

Cable for me!  I've been using it now for about a year and can't imagine life with 56K again.

I know what it's like (I've got your pre-cable situation) .  I downloaded a takeoff video at home in over 10 minutes... it took 7 seconds at work .  

PS.  I assumed the poll was for our home connection.

DSL for me, but my ISP sucks oh so much!

I have a 56.6 k , but I can only get 21.1.....so quityerb**chin!!

DSL at home and work, and BLueyonder 2meg at my Dad's
I never even wasted time with a dial-up connection

You assumed correctly then.

56k dial-up here :-/ :-/  Plus I live out in the boonies so the highest speed i can can get is 44kbps.  

DSL is great.  ;D

I have ADSL or better known as Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line. I love it!

If wishes were horses, I would be riding Shadowfax (see Lord of the Rings books)!

I have had DSL for about three years now, and I don't know if I could work the net without it!
