Ahh, summer time. The best time of year to sit back with a tall glass of lemonade, breathe in the smell of a freshly mowed lawn, bask in the mid-year sun, and wipe the drool off yourself as multi-million dollar jets scream mere feet above your head.
It's airshow season, ladies and gents, and although the local airshow is a no-go this year, fear not, for I am getting my fix.
Next weekend is the Rochester International Airshow, where I'll see* the following:

Hope you enjoy it Scott. I look forward to seeing some of your photos.

I've already been to several events this year as you will know if you visit the Photos forum. I purchased tickets for the RAFA "do" when I popped into Shoreham earlier in the week. It's not for a while yet but here's an idea of what's already booked.

Its dark in the buildings there so make sure you have a good flash on your camera plus some of the aircraft are parked at some really bad angles. And make sure you go over to the other hanger that has all the old Air Force one's in it. If you ever get a chance you need to go to penscola NAS in Florida I was stationed there for a wile and they have a really cool museum on base. I went like 10-15 times wile I was there.

Take digital and film cameras (SLR), you never know what might be flying in the area, and digital zoom stinks!
So we'll be expecting you to hog the photos forum

I would never trust anything this important to digital. I'm taking my beat up old Contax, two lenses, and about 50 rolls of film. ;D

I've been threatening to visit Oshkosh for years. Never got round to it for various reasons. My globetrotting days are over now so you're quite safe. LOL

Have a great time chaps.

In about two weeks I'm going to the US Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio.

I'm heading there tomorrow!! For the Air Show this weekend, on the way stop by Middlesboro KY to see the beautiful Glacier Girl P38 take off on her way to Dayton, then Monday head to the Yankee Air Museum in Belleview MI, then to see family in Saginaw and a week from tomorrow head to Peoria IL, for the Air Show there!
This is the first vacation in years where the anticipation is killing me!!!!!!!!!
